We’re the founders of MY LEGACY , and our journey began with something very personal — our own baby’s first steps.
When we put our baby’s first pair of shoes on for the first time, we noticed something we hadn’t expected. Our little one seemed to have difficulty walking and staying stable. Those first steps looked different, and it took much longer than we expected for our baby to feel comfortable and confident in their shoes.
Our journey began when we started looking for a pair of shoes that could make those first steps easier. We wanted something gentle on tiny, growing feet, but also durable and flexible enough to support those newfound steps.
After trying shoes from well-known brands and struggling to find the right balance, we eventually came across a design that felt different — a lightweight, thick-knit shoe with a flexible sole that allowed little feet to move more freely.
It was exactly what we had been looking for. But we wanted to make it even better.
So we decided to embark on a journey of our own — researching, testing, redeveloping the design, and refining every detail to create the best version possible.
Being new to the world of footwear, we thought the process would be straightforward. But we soon learned that bringing our vision to life was far from simple.
We spent months working with different manufacturers, testing countless samples, making adjustments, and refining every detail.
But we didn’t do it alone.
Throughout the development and testing process, we worked closely with pediatric podiatry experts who specialize in children’s feet and development. The design underwent professional evaluation to ensure it met the standards we were looking for in children’s footwear.
We worked towards creating a shoe that could actually work with little feet — rather than getting in their way.
We wanted to find the right balance between flexibility, comfort, protection, and stability, while keeping the shoe lightweight enough for those precious first steps. Every detail mattered — from the flexibility of the sole to the way the shoe fits around tiny, growing feet.
This process is ever-evolving as we continue to listen to the feedback from our valued community of parents, grandparents, and of course, the little ones who wear our shoes.
Their experiences help us understand what works, what can be improved, and what truly matters when it comes to little feet. That’s why we’re constantly refining our designs and looking for new ways to make our shoes even better.
Finally, after countless rounds of testing and revisions, we found the right partners who could deliver the quality we were looking for while meeting our high standards for safety, cleanliness, and responsible production.
We also took the time to carefully review and inspect every step of the process, making sure that the shoes we create truly reflect the values we started with.
Because for us, creating baby shoes isn’t simply about making something cute.
It’s about creating something we would proudly put on our own little one’s feet. ❤️
In 2020 , we officially launched MY LEGACY online — a truly exciting moment for our family and the beginning of something we had dreamed about for so long.
What started with our own little one’s first steps has grown into a mission to help families everywhere feel more confident about those precious early moments.
